What I liked

I worked on a 6-person team at one of McKinsey's top healthcare clients. We helped the client to lead a major transformation of their overall business model. I had the opportunity to travel to Florida every week to see our clients and we went to California every other week. It was challenging and I loved that.

What I wish was different

Advice

Always be ready to take on a challenge It's a lot of hardwork but it will pay off eventually

What I liked

The people at the firm were honestly the smartest and most driven people I have ever been around. I thought the engagement I was staffed on was very interesting and I truly felt like my team put me in a position to contribute. The amount of resources at the firm's disposal are incredible and overall they put you in a position to succeed.

What I wish was different

The internship was virtual, which was a bummer because I was looking forward to the travel component.

Advice

Ask as many questions and for help as you can! Everyone at the firm is more than happy to mentor you and help you get things right.

What I liked

The people at the office were simply amazing. I really enjoyed working with them and I got to learn a lot about business and consulting in just a few months.

What I wish was different

The hours were long. For instance, sometimes I had to stay at the client site until midnight. However, I really enjoyed doing the work so time flew by.

Try to learn as much as you can and don't be afraid of asking questions, people really car about you and they want you to learn as much as you can.

Got to work with incredible, smart people from a diverse array of backgrounds. Had the opportunity to travel extensively as an intern. There were plenty of intern events throughout the summer to get to your colleagues and other interns, including a summer conference.

As a summer, you have a unique position to reach out to anyone across the company to have a meeting or a phone call- take advantage of this to make connections and learn about things that you are interested in.

What I liked

A fantastic summer. Tons of time, resources, and energy were devoted to making me ready for the job, and making sure I was as successful as possible along the way. Felt empowered by my team and the firm as a whole to do a lot of work and take ownership of a variety of different projects on my assignment. Traveled every week, met amazing people, and saw a lot of the country.
