What I liked
McKinsey truly invests in their interns as full-time employees. The amount of support, resources, and guidance I received over my three months at the company was incredible. My team and supervisor genuinely wanted me to succeed and provided honest and regular feedback that allowed me to become a better consultant as the summer progressed.
What I wish was different
I don't necessarily wish this had been different, but a good thing to know before going into this internship is that the hours are long and the workload is heavy. I was aware of this ahead of time so I was prepared for the challenge, and my colleagues did a phenomenal job helping to balance the load so that I had a great experience.
Advice
Make McKinsey your own. Yes, it is a huge firm, but there are so many ways to get connected with a wide range of people and to find a daily rhythm that fits your life priorities.

Advice
Be willing to explore the entirety of your internship. Take some chances and take on work that maybe you don't *think* you're strong at because it will only help accelerate your personal growth.
