What I liked
The internship provided wonderful exposure to the inner workings of a major non-profit arts institution. I loved my department, which was extremely accommodating and willing to teach me skills that I had not learned in the classroom. The internship program included a lecture and activity series involving many departments across the museum, fostering a cross-departmental perspective of the permanent collection. It was also amazing to work at a museum that is so deeply entrenched in New York, embedded in the landscape of the city itself and perpetually working to increase accessibility with audiences from across the world.
