Summer 2023 Sophomore Intern - Investment Banking Summer Analyst: M&A (TMT) - Navab Fellowship Program

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Sophomore Internship - Investment Banking Summer Analyst (2023): M&A (TMT); Only open to those with an anticipated graduation date of Dec. 2024 – May 2025.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
  • The Summer Analyst program is a 10-week internship designed to provide valuable experience in Investment Banking by joining our M&A financial advisory practice in New York
  • Summer Analysts will work on multiple active engagements where you will play a crucial role in financial modeling, developing transaction materials and deal execution.
  • Methuselah’s unique platform provides Analysts the ability to work closely with senior bankers with decades of experience on transformative M&A transactions across the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Financial Modeling, Financial Analysis, Valuation Materials
  • Industry Research, Data Analysis
  • Drafting of Presentations, Case Studies, Internal and External Memoranda
  • Transaction Execution (Diligence, Management Presentations, Internal Meetings)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Coursework in Finance/Economics or Quantitative Degrees (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) preferred but not required

NAVAB FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: 
This internship is offered through the Navab Fellowship Program. This is a CCE Sponsored Internship Program in which interns participate in professional development programming alongside the internship which is sourced by a Columbia College alumnus. Fellowship awards are given to students in lawful unpaid and low-paid opportunities summer expenses related to the opportunity. Additionally, eligible participants on financial aid have their summer earnings expectation waived. Programming includes attending a Pre-Program Training, Mid-semester Check-in with a career counselor, end-of-program Reflection Session as well as completion of an individual development plan and project. These elements will support success in the internship experience itself, help you learn more about the related industry or type of work, as well as help you prepare for and plan next steps after the experience. Navab Fellowship Program internship dates vary by position but typically take place over the course of May - August, 2023. Navab Fellowship Program positions and the program are open to Columbia College students only. All Navab Fellowship Program Summer 2023 positions will be posted on LionSHARE (Handshake) during December 2022/Spring 2023 semester on a rolling basis. There is no application limit for Navab Fellowship Program positions meaning you may apply to as many positions as interest you. 
 
You must be in good academic and judicial standing with Columbia University to be eligible to participate in the program. By submitting an application, you authorize the Center for Career Education to conduct academic and disciplinary checks to confirm program eligibility. Certain University policy violations may disqualify you from consideration for the program.
 
COMPENSATION: 
*This is a paid position – offering minimum wage. Additionally, a fellowship award will be applied to the intern’s financial aid account to cover the cost of their Columbia student contribution should they have one. Students that participate in roles lasting less than 8-weeks will receive prorated coverage for their student contribution based on the number of weeks worked at their internship.

  2. Transcript (This is your fall course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Fall 2022 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Fall 2022 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
