Assistant Media Planner

The Role Objective: The Assistant Media Planner is responsible for providing support to the planning team across all aspects of the discipline as it pertains to Maxus clients. Job responsibilities include the usage of tools and data to help support plan decisions; collaborating amongst the team to offer up appropriate support for all planning assignments and special projects; assisting in the maintenance of plan activity; and, resolving discrepancies related to plan options and/or buy delivery. 

Primary (day-to-day) Responsibilities:

· Utilize and understand proprietary and syndicated research tools used for planning and reporting purposes

·Study demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for specific media vehicles, including lifestyles and psychographics

· Utilize syndicated research to help analyze the competitive landscape for monthly, quarterly and annual competitive analysis

· Exercise the Channel Neutral approach to media and framework for thinking

·Assist in development of media plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively reach the target audience

· Effectively use Relationship Media tools to aid in plan development

·Assist in maintaining flowcharts/plans and developing media delivery analysis

·Assist in maintaining budget updates and spreadsheets

·Develop agency point of views (POVs) on media opportunities for submission to the client

· Input data into Donovan and Ad Serving platforms

· Assist in trafficking, tracking and reporting of online campaigns

· Resolve discrepancies within the billing process

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

·Attend client specific and departmental meetings
