Summer Production Intern - CCASSIP

This internship is offered through the Columbia College Alumni-Sponsored Student Internship Program, (CCASSIP). All CCASSIP 2017 positions will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016/Spring 2017 semester on a rolling basis. To find CCASSIP internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. There is no application limit for CCASSIP positions. Internship Description:

Producing:
This arts management internship focuses on developing & contributing innovative strategies in general management within the non-profit industry. Intern(s) will work closely with our General Manager on financial management, day-to-day operations, producing our Spring production of Villa by Guillermo Calderon, as well as collaborating with other PlayCo interns on special events such as our annual gala, Cabaret Gourmet, in the Spring 2017 This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring arts management professionals to gain hands on experience in producing and general management.

Responsibilities include:
• General office management under the direction of the General Manager, including maintaining office calendar, supplies, and equipment in the office.
• Assist in processing weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate all reporting and dues required from the various artist unions.
• Manage inventory and materials for production with production and stage management.
• Strategize best practices in company management throughout the season.
• General administrative & office duties.
• Assist staff as needed.
