Summer Retail Program Analyst Intern- CEO Hong Kong

This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2017 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016 semester and January 2017 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. You may apply to up to eight (8) positions of interest across all CEO locations (Amman, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Seoul, and Singapore).  Having your resume and cover letter reviewed by a CCE counselor is strongly recommended before applying. There are at least two required components to all CEO position applications and potentially more as requested by each employer as outlined below :

  1. Resume
  2. Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2017 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2017 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)

Internship Description:

The Intern students will be assigned to the following projects:

Student will join Apple Greater China team to develop and implement business and sales plan, the Apple Greater China business was $58 billion in FY2015

• Analyze consumer electronics market size and consumer demand trends, including but not limited to, smartphone, tablet, personal computer, wearables, etc.
• Analyze retail channel changes and support development of related route-to-market strategy, including offline retail and online retail.
• Review business needs and effectiveness of existing retail programs
• Support development of new retail programs or performance improvement programs
• Analyze program performance in both qualitative and quantitive ways and highlight risks and opportunities
• Design pilot programs and support implementation

Experience / Skills Requirement :
• University students
• Analytical, with good business acumen
• Creative in program development
• Travel required
