Summer Shortlist Fellow- CEO Mumbai

This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2017 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016 semester and January 2017 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. You may apply to up to eight (8) positions of interest across all CEO locations (Amman, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Seoul, and Singapore).

There are at least two required components to all CEO position applications and potentially more as requested by each employer as outlined below :

The following documents must be submitted through LionSHARE for each position of interest:

  1. Resume
  2. Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2017 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2017 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)

The CEO program runs June 12- August 4, 2017. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Internship Description:
Shortlist is looking for a Product Innovation Fellows who can turbocharge our efforts to design and build new approaches to sourcing quality candidates and screening based on talent and potential more so than prior experience.

On the sourcing side, you will have the opportunity to conceive and build new approaches to finding the best talent in India and Kenya and engaging them around specific job opportunities as well as more generic ways to unlock their professional potential, including social media, referral programs, strategic partnerships, and content production/curation.

On the screening side, you will work closely with the Shortlist operations and product teams to refine our hiring philosophy and build out creative, engaging methods of identifying underlying talents and measures of fit, which we believe better predict performance and retention – e.g., tests, games, content, and more. Candidates will have the opportunity to own and drive projects from conception through testing and implementation, and get a taste of working at the cutting edge of social enterprise, emerging markets startups, digital and technology, and the talent/recruitment space. There is tremendous opportunity to build a company together.

Fellows from Columbia will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of projects from business development, to product innovation, to operations to analytics and process optimization, depending on your skills, interests and the business needs at the time.

English is required for this role. Working knowledge of Hindi could be helpful.
