Summer Scientific Affairs Summer Analyst-CCASSIP

This internship is offered through the Columbia College Alumni-Sponsored Student Internship Program, (CCASSIP). All CCASSIP 2017 positions will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016/Spring 2017 semester on a rolling basis. To find CCASSIP internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. There is no application limit for CCASSIP positions. Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2017 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2017 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)

Internship Description

The Scientific Affairs Summer Analyst will have the opportunity to work directly with company executives in the areas of scientific and regulatory affairs. We are seeking a motivated multi-tasker to join our team, someone that is not afraid of working hard or trying new things. Because of the company’s flexibility, you will have the ability to work on projects that are most interesting to you. As a Scientific Affairs Summer Analyst at JDS, you will be able to apply your skills in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Key activities you will have the opportunity to be involved with in 2017 include:
• Collaborate on the strategic development of one or more of the products in our pipeline
• Help manage the timely completion of the department’s clinical research program
• Assist in the development of clinical study protocols for our products
• Review research data and market research feedback to help create compelling and responsible marketing messages for the healthcare practitioner audience
• Research, analyze and help drive the introduction of new products through development of a comprehensive go-to-market plans
• Collaborate with our Senior Management team across all disciplines
• Research data underpinning new opportunities to evaluate business viability
Our offices are located at The Centre at Purchase at 1 Manhattanville Road, Purchase, New York. We are a short train ride from Grand Central in Manhattan and there is a free shuttle from Rye Train Station directly to our offices.

The preferred candidate should exemplify the following characteristics:
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time accredited college or university, and must have completed their sophomore or junior year
• Ability to commit to a full time position (Monday – Friday)
• Strong science background preferred, but not required
• Candidate must have the ability to understand technical data and possess excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Effective written communications skills, including skill in proofreading for grammar, spelling, and editing
• Ability to work independently
• Extremely reliable
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
