Summer Intern- CCASSIP

This internship is offered through the Columbia College Alumni-Sponsored Student Internship Program, (CCASSIP). All CCASSIP 2017 positions will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016/Spring 2017 semester on a rolling basis. Internship Description:
The Marketing and Development Department of Sidley Austin LLP seeks an intern at the Firm’s New York office to assist in its corporate social responsibility and client services initiatives. The intern will be exposed to the various stages of different types projects. This internship is 10 – 12 weeks with a minimum of 10 weeks during the 2017 summer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform research for the Marketing team.
• Draft materials for the Marketing team.
• Assist in the organization of events.
• Create and update spreadsheets.
• Assist with other general department tasks.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
•   Undergraduate student currently pursuing a relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Internet savvy
• Strong research, writing and organizational skills

Attendance: Unless specifically noted, all positions are full-time and require daily presence in the office. Regular, reliable attendance is expected and required. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers and to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, decimals, percentages, proportions and ratios to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form.
