Summer General Operations and Marketing Intern- CEO Singapore

This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2017 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2016 semester and January 2017 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. You may apply to up to eight (8) positions of interest across all CEO locations (Amman, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Seoul, and Singapore).  Having your resume and cover letter reviewed by a CCE counselor is strongly recommended before applying. There are at least two required components to all CEO position applications and potentially more as requested by each employer as outlined below :

The following documents must be submitted through LionSHARE for each position of interest:

  1. Resume
  2. Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2017 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2017 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required, click Apply Now and check for required documents)

The CEO program runs June 12- August 4, 2017. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Internship Description:


The intern will be part of an exciting, dynamic fashion startup. The operational and marketing activities including managing inventory, social media management, and customer requests. In addition, the will also take part and support in-person marketing activities such as balls and events.

Responsibilities:
Upload products onto Covetella Shopify website
Respond to customer requests and help customers in the showroom
Create and manage customer profiles
Proactively reach out to customers to remind them of available inventory
Advise on inventory needed to fit customer needs
Analyze appropriate social data, insights and best practices and then execute job accordingly.
Actively run and monitor various social media platforms.
Perform competitive research and audience identification.
Continuously generating new ideas to be published and shared daily on social media.
Collaborate with customer relations and sales to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.


Requirements
Good customer service oriented attitude/excellent relationship management skills
Ability to pick up social cues quickly and adapt to different people
Ability to learn quickly and edit Shopify on an as-needed basis
Excellent communication skills
Adequate knowledge of web design and development
Good knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and blogging platforms
Understand and able to analyze what drives good content
Ability to create content in a concise, engaging manner
Knowledge in online marketing and good understanding of E-commerce
Demonstrate social networking experience and educated in social analytics tool.
Understand trends and make recommendations from social analytics
