Summer 2020 Communications Intern - CEO Mumbai

CEO Program Description:

Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai- Communications Intern Job Description 

As part of its Environmental Sustainability program, Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai is working on an initiative to document, map, build capacity, and disseminate knowledge on urban biodiversity and nature reserves in Indian cities. The Center serves as a knowledge partner, creating educational and outreach materials for a project on Sunder Nursery, a recently restored 16th century green reserve significant for its Mughal monuments and vast experimental heritage of trees and plants, and considered to be “New Delhi’s Central Park.” 

Based at the Center in Mumbai, the Communications Intern will have an opportunity to be part of a critical and exciting project on wildlife and ecosystems in India. The selected candidate will be involved in various processes of documentation and content creation for education materials, campaigns, outreach efforts and other collaterals focusing on selected species of iconic or endangered birds and pollinators.  

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Photo and video capturing and editing, including creating short films, highlights and other creatives for online platforms and social media.
• Creating visual and print campaigns and other collaterals as required.

The ideal candidate should have the following competencies:  
• Experience in audio-visual design and video editing
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in photography and videography
• Interest in environmental sustainability
• Ability to meet deadlines, and work in an organized and responsible manner

Required Components:
There are at least two required components to all CEO position applications and potentially more as requested by each employer as outlined below:

Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2020 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2020 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)

The CEO program runs June 15- August 7, 2020. Students must participate for the entire duration of the program. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 2, 2020.
