Summer 2019 Human Resources Intern - CEO Singapore

CEO Program Description:
This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2019 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2018 semester and January 2019 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. You may apply to up to eight (8) positions of interest across all CEO locations. You must be in good academic and judicial standing with Columbia University to be eligible to participate in the program. Company Job Description:
This position will be responsible for assisting the busy Human Resources department with their day-to-day activities, including:

•Assisting with managing cyclical HR activities that are underway such as internships, graduate programmes, performance appraisals and salary/bonus reviews
•Assisting with on-boarding including posting vacancies on-line, managing candidate database, screening/interviewing candidates, preparing offer letters and inductions
•Filing and document management
•Leading and assisting with ongoing projects (examples may include international expansions, redesigning the induction programme, designing the graduate recruitment site and creating development plans for staff)
•Assisting the HR team with ad-hoc day-to-day issues.

You will have the opportunity to work with members of the HR team, and to also run and manage your own projects and workload with appropriate guidance.

Skills required:
• Detail oriented;
• Good time management skills;
• Works well in a team environment;
• Previous experience in HR not required, although a genuine interest in the field of human resources is critical.

Pay: SGD1,500/monthly

Required Components:

Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2019 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2019 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
The CEO program runs June 10- August 2, 2019. Students must participate for the entire duration of the program. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 10, 2019.
