Summer 2019 Teacher Intern - CEO Hong Kong

CEO Program Description:
This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2019 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2018 semester and January 2019 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. You may apply to up to eight (8) positions of interest across all CEO locations. You can find all CCE Sponsored Internship positions by going to https://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/jobs-internships/cce-internship-program-positions/search. You must be in good academic and judicial standing with Columbia University to be eligible to participate in the program. Roles and responsibilities:
- Design curriculum for students aged 5-12 to promote different skills including creativity, writing and public speaking. You can even create your own curriculum on a topic/skill you are good at and would like to pass on to students!
- Hands on teaching experience so you can get real time feedback on curriculum you design
- Exposure to various aspects of running an education business, including marketing, teaching, business development, curriculum design and other administrative tasks
- Create new initiatives and offering for our institution and help with online and offline marketing
-  Work directly under the mentorship of the founder, a Yale/Harvard ex-banker turned educator/entrepreneur, to learn about entrepreneurship and finding your passion!

Requirements:
- Passionate in working with elementary, middle and high school students and making an impact on their (and your own) learning
- Independent worker and self-starter
- Creative mindset
- Strong work ethics
- Past leadership and teaching experience is valued, but not mandatory.

Payment: $100 USD Weekly

Required Components:
There are at least two required components to all CEO position applications and potentially more as requested by each employer as outlined below:

The following documents must be submitted through LionSHARE for each position of interest: 
  1. Resume
  2. Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2019 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2019 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
The CEO program runs June 10- August 2, 2019. Students must participate for the entire duration of the program. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 10, 2019.
