Overview of role and responsibilities:

Azimo is the better way to transfer money worldwide.

We’re fast, safe, simple and you can do it all online, or on your mobile, to fit in with how we live today. We were created with the explicit mission of cutting the costs of sending money home. So more money can reach the people, families, communities and even countries that need it.

Started in 2012 we’ve rapidly grown into the world’s largest online only money transfer service.
We have two centers of operation, in London and Krakow, and employ more than 100 people. We’re a team that’s cosmopolitan, tech savvy, open-minded and willing to climb the mountains and swim the oceans (unless it’s raining). We’re also not in love with working long hours just to prove how macho we are. We know there’s more to life than work and that there’s a whole world outside our door. But we do want to make the time we all spend at Azimo both productive and enjoyable. Azimo is an equal opportunities employer and strongly support diversity across the people who work here.

If you are passionate about data analysis and would like to gain more practical knowledge and experience, we would like to offer you an opportunity to join our Internship program.

You will be part of Azimo’s Data Team and will be helping us with our daily task (managing data flow, answering ad-hoc questions, providing random analysis and building cards and graphs). However, your main duty will be forecasting if our clients will churn. This project will require working with both operational and behavioral data, getting to know and understand how the company operates and working with tools such as BigQuery, Jupiter Notebooks, Domo/Tableau.

Desired skills/qualifications:
·        SQL
·        Python/R
·        strong analytical skills
·        familiarity with statistics
·        any of the following will be a plus: interest in ML or financial modelling, knowledge about an agile environment, knowledge of version control system (git), familiarity with cloud-managed warehouse solution (BigQuery, RedShift etc.), experience with stream data/event-based data

Comments:
This internship is a paid opportunity. Additionally, your position will require business trips to Krakow (approx.2 weeks). So, if you would like to combine working on interesting projects and traveling (don’t worry all costs are on us) it’s a perfect offer for you.
