Summer 2019 Human Resources Intern - CEO Mumbai

CEO Program Description:

This internship is offered through the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. To learn more about CEO, go to http://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/findajob/cce-internship/ceo. All CEO 2019 internships will be posted on LionSHARE during the Fall 2018 semester and January 2019 on a rolling basis. To find CEO internship postings, search under the Internships tab on LionSHARE, and use the “Label” function. Position Summary
 
The Human Resources intern will support Human Resources initiatives and campaigns for Teach For India. You will learn about every stage of Human Resources operations, from branding and sourcing to selection and development. Some current initiatives that you will support include improving Teach For India’s employer branding presence on digital platforms, revamping the staff applicant experience, and smoothening internal communication across the hiring process. Aside from these, you will have the opportunity to work on or even initiate any other Human Resources projects that take form over the course of the internship.
 
 
Team Overview
 
The Human Resource Team fuels the growth and success of Teach For India by fostering exceptionally mission-driven, diverse talent for non-teaching Staff positions. It is responsible for hiring, orienting, developing, and engaging the staff talent pool. The Human Resources team is committed to building Teach For India as a great place to work by fostering collaboration, high performance, and happiness amongst staff members.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
1. Supporting an ongoing branding initiative to increase Teach For India’s employer brand presence
2. Strategizing methods of improving the staff applicant experience
3. Maintaining sourcing and hiring operations at full capacity
4. Assisting with managing the internal Human Resources team site
5. Assisting with the Professional Development initiatives
6. Performing analysis of various data and drawing meaningful insights
7. Any other projects that may be ongoing at the time
 
Knowledge and Technical Skills
 
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Google applications
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills

Required Components:

Transcript (This is your spring course schedule which you should access by logging onto Student Services Online, clicking on “My Schedule” and copying and pasting your Spring 2019 course schedule into a Microsoft Word Document. The schedule should show your full name, your school, your Spring 2019 Courses, and your enrollment status.)
  3. Cover Letter (if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)
  4. Other materials (ex: Writing Sample, etc. if required - click ‘Apply Now’ and check for required documents)

The CEO program runs June 10- August 2, 2019. Students must participate for the entire duration of the program. Submit your completed applications via LionSHARE by Sunday, February 10, 2019.
