Spring TV Development & Casting Intern - CAE

This internship is offered through the Columbia Arts Experience (CAE). This is a CCE Sponsored Internship Program in which interns participate in professional development programming alongside their internship. This includes attending a Pre-program training, Mid-semester dinner, and end-of-program Reflection session as well as completion of a reflection project. These elements will support success in the internship experience itself, help students learn more about the related industry or type of work, as well as help students prepare for and plan next steps after the experience. Positions in this program offer a $600 stipend for the spring semester internship. To learn more about the CAE, go to https://www.careereducation.columbia.edu/programs/columbia-arts-experience

Internship Description:
A large unscripted TV production company is seeking development and casting interns to assist our busy Development team during the Spring 2018 semester. If you have a passion for non-fiction programming and an eye for talent, this is an opportunity for you.

Responsibilities will include heavy research for show concepts as well as interviewing potential talent, conducting Skype calls, editing video, and assembling trended media reports for our development team. You will gain hands-on casting experience, so strong communication and research skills, attention to detail, and social media savvy are a plus. This is not a position for the phone-shy!

We are looking for college students who can devote 2-3 FULL days a week to this position, located in our midtown Manhattan offices. This internship is an incredible learning opportunity for the young and hungry, and will give you an up-close look at how a TV show gets made under a full service production company.
