What I liked

It is my actual job, Lenscrafters is a great company to work for and they offer excellent benefits for full-time employees. They have been very flexible with my schedule being a full-time student.

What I wish was different

I am still with this company for about three years and a half and I am very pleased. It allows me to get my education, this company also offers tuition reimbursement for a graduate degree.

Advice

this company does not offer internships at the retail store level, but is great work experience. It helps you develop communication and customer service skills.

What I liked

I was working in a very close group to analyze workforce performance, identify capability gaps, and manage employee relations. It was a lean team, so I had a lot of responsibility and made independent decisions. This aspect of the internship really helped me to become comfortable within a professional environment. Best part would have to be the people - amazing company to work for!

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more interaction between the retail and wholesale interns. As an intern on the retail side, it would have been nice to receive more exposure to the other group. I think this would have furthered our understanding of the company.

Advice

Be confident and ask questions! In the beginning of the internship, I was so worried that asking questions would make me seem unprepared or incapable of doing the job on my own. However, once I realized that I was expected to ask questions as an intern, I began to inquire about everything and anything. This elevated the experience as I was suddenly learning so much more.
