I wish they would have provided more time for mentoring training.

Advice

Be comfortable retrieving multiple resources and constructing professional responses in a timely manner. Familiarize yourself with various devices and their trouble shooting process.

The environment during training was amazing. You meet some of the coolest people and can form great friendships if they go to your school!

What I wish was different

A little more flexibility during the summer training months.

Advice

You work from home, so try not to get lazy! Stay attentive because everything you learn in training is extremely important once you start taking calls.

Location Location Location. Manager and team were extremely helpful and eager for me to learn. Very fast paced.

Wish the internship had been extended.

Advice

It was a lot of work, sometimes 50-60 hours a week. But it was very much worth it to move away for the summer and to experience the work load in that sort of supportive but fast environment.

More flexible hours. The hours are very strict, as it is a corporate position.

It was awesome working with the different teams and seeing how the company functions. The company values somewhat resonate in the organization. The work was educational and challenging. The compensation was wonderful.

I ran out of work every once in a while, but from what I understand, that happens everywhere.

I would recommend trying to become friends with people on your team.

What I liked

The environment of Apple is amazing. The management is superior to other places I have worked. Everyone there cares about your personal life and your personal goals. They want you to be you outside of the Apple doors. They don't care about your background or what you look like, they invest in YOU. Which to me, has pushed me in so many ways as a person and a leader.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish would be different would be the hours. The Apple store is a retail job, so sometimes, the hours can vary quite a bit. I would love for it to be slightly more consistent, and it has been lately the more they get to know you and your routine. And unlike other retail jobs, there really is never a shortage of hours.

Advice

If you want a part-time job that provides you an amazing experience that will teach you real life skills such as leadership, positioning, patience, empathy, etc., then Apple is definitely at the top of my list. The pay is great, and the management works with you. However, this isn't an "easy" job. So you will need to put in quite a bit of work, so just be prepared.

I love that the job is catered towards college students. This way, the hours work around your class schedule, increase during summer and other breaks, and adapt to tests.

What I wish was different

I wish the onboard training schedule was more lenient.

Advice

Go for jobs in companies you may not have adequate experience for. Many roles for college students understand that we all come from different backgrounds and can adapt to our qualifications.

I would just use this job as a way to get more information on stocks , 401 K, tuition reimbursement, they have a ton of other services and benefits in the backend that make the job more the worth while while going to school especially.

I really enjoyed the comfort of working from home as well as the flexibility with my school schedule.

What I wish was different

I do wish I had the ability to choose the shift on Saturday.

Advice

One advice I would give is to take advantage of rotations and summer career experience. I did not get to do it due to my class schedule but , You essentially get to work in a different role and gain more knowledge within the company . The company also offers tuition reimbursement as well as fitness reimbursement.
